What do you get when you mix rambunctious kids, tasty snacks, silly games, and gospel teaching?
Besides a whole lot of noise, you get… Vacation Bible School! This year, we’ll be hosting VBS from June 17 to 21. In the days leading up to the big week, we’ll introduce you to some of the folks who make it possible.
Meet Lauren Lockridge, Youth Coordinator!
What’s something folks might not know about where you grew up?
I grew up in Greenville, South Carolina. It is an amazing city! Some people might not know that it has grown exponentially over the past 20 years and now is one of the top cities to visit in SC.
How long have you been worshipping with CGS?
Since September 2018.
What has God been showing you as you’ve meditated on this year’s theme?
This theme is so relatable to children and adults alike. God’s relentless love is one that cannot be ignored and Christ has continued to reveal that truth to me in my personal life.
How are you hoping to convey the things you know and are learning about this year’s theme through the area in which you’re serving?
I would like to convey to the youth that are serving with me that God’s love is so all consuming and all powerful that it cannot be ignored. I would also like to convey that Jesus was such a servant and serving VBS in this capacity is worthwhile.
What words of encouragement do you have for parents during VBS this year?
This is such a gospel centered week covered in prayer. We are all excited to see how the Lord is going to work in the lives of your children.
