CGS Community Choirs is a free choir program with the purpose of instilling in our youth an appreciation of the joy and beauty that God gives us through music. We want to foster in our students a love of worship through singing, to provide training in good vocal technique and musicianship, and to cultivate a strong sense of community and belonging within our choristers. See below for a description of each choir and to learn more about our choir directors!
We offer five choirs for ages 5-18, all of which rehearse on Monday afternoons. Our season runs from September through May, offering both a Fall and Spring concert.
Registration is now open for the 2023-2024 season. Click here to register.

Grace Notes, 4:15-5:30 on Mondays
Grace Notes is a select choir for singers ages 10-14 who are ready for a more intense musical experience, led by Alexa Carter. Students move more deeply into a higher level of musicianship and a more demanding set of repertoire. We will sing a variety of music, including hymn arrangements, sacred songs, folk songs, spirituals, and poem settings. We will also go more deeply into studying music with ear training and music theory exercises. Grace Notes requires an audition and higher level of time commitment than Upper Choir does. Troubadours, 5:35-6:35 on Mondays
The Troubadours is a select ensemble for ages 15-18, directed by Alexa Carter. The increased vocal range of young men allows the music selection to incorporate four-voice arrangements (soprano, alto, tenor, bass). Participation in the Troubadours requires an audition to judge the singer’s ability and also determine their vocal part based on their range. In order to keep the men’s and women’s voices balanced, open spots in this choir will be available based on relative need for each part.
