Alexa Carter
I have had a passion for singing since I was two years old, which grew into a specific love for choral music when I joined a wonderful choir with a dear mentor when I was 12 years old. I followed this love for choral music by starting a vocal group in high school. I completed a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance in college, and since then I’ve directed various choirs, including a select children’s choir in Charlotte for 2 years and a teen girls’ choir in Raleigh for 5 years, as well as various other directing opportunities. I have been directing Grace Notes since 2014 and The Troubadours since 2023. As a homeschool mom of four, I’ve continued to foster a love for music with my own kids. I find it exciting to train children in healthy, musical singing and help them develop their own love for music.
