Welcome to CGS Kids for Christmas and Advent! Below, you will find details about what will be offered for your children.
- CGS Kids Sunday School for ages 3 years through 5th grade is now in session from 9:30-10:30a during the adult SMC hour. Beginning Sunday, November 28, CGS Kids will take a break from our regular curriculum to go through a series of Advent lessons that accompany the Advent family devotional “Prepare Him Room.”
- Children’s Worship for children ages 3 years through 2nd grade is available during the sermon portion of the worship service.
- You can access the current CGS Kids Covid Protocol information here. The following simple screening questions regarding recent health and Covid exposure risks of your children will be a part of the check-in procedure until a vaccine is made available for all children:
- No one in my household has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
- No one in my household currently has any COVID symptoms: new cough, fever, chills, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath.
- No unvaccinated person in my household has had close contact (been within 6 feet of someone diagnosed with COVID-19 for a cumulative total of 15 minutes over a 24 hour period) in the last 14 days.
- No one in my household has been contacted by health department staff advising them to quarantine for 14 days.
- CGS Kids Sunday School will begin each Sunday morning at 9:30a with a Morning Assembly (all together) for kids ages 3 years through 5th grade. Morning Assembly will happen in “The Gathering Place” (Room N307), where we will sing and worship together, learn about and pray for our “Missionary of the Month,” work together on our Scripture memory verses, and begin the Lord’s Day with a sense of expectation and joy before heading to individual, age-appropriate classes.
- Cookies & Carols is scheduled for Saturday, December 4 from 10:00-11:00am for CGS kids kindergarten & under. Bring your littles & family for a fun morning of kid-friendly Christmas carols, crafts, & a brief storytime while we enjoy cookies & milk together! Questions? Email RiLee Robeson.
- A Christmas Service Project is scheduled for Saturday, December 11 from 10:00am-12:00pm for all CGS Kids, 1st-5th grade. Plan to drop your kid(s) off in front of Sam’s Club that morning to join Ms. Marti and other CGS adult volunteers. We will spend a couple hours ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, singing Christmas songs together, and greeting our neighbors as they go into the store. This will be a great chance for your kid(s) to spend some time focusing on others this Christmas season as they learn about the needs of other children in our community.
