Our community garden is beginning to flourish and needs steady tending. Great Out West Fall Fest

Our 5th Annual Great Out West Fall Fest is October 11 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. Put on your boots and cowboy hats, bring a friend, and join us for chili, hay rides, prizes, games, and more! Please RSVP and sign up to bring something or volunteer! Located in and around the Church's North Parking Lot, South Parking Lot, East Drive and either S205 or S207.

The Commons

Volunteers are needed one (1) Sunday morning per quarter to oversee coffee prep and clean-up. This is a great way for community groups, couples, families, or roommates to serve the church. Contact Stephen Windham at sawindham@gmail.com or (919) 225-8104 to coordinate an upcoming Sunday in September, October, or November that works well for your schedule.

Souper Sunday Lunch

All are welcome to join us for lunch each week after Sunday’s worship service for a great bowl of soup down in our kitchen! Bring your family, your friends, or just yourself and enjoy some time getting to know others in this community. Families planning to come usually contribute a soup or side to share, but feel free to just come and join even if you have nothing to bring! We’d love to see you there. Contact: Mark Whipple

Wednesday Women’s Bible Study

Women’s Wednesday Bible Study begins September 17 and runs through March 2026. We hope you will join us to study the book of Acts using Nancy Guthrie’s study guide entitled Saved: Experiencing the Promise of the Book of Acts. No previous knowledge of the Bible is needed; we will be learning together each week. Registration for this study has now ended. 4th+5th Grade Crew

4th+5th Crew meets Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 p.m. for fun games, time in God's word, and sweet fellowship together! We'll be working through the Gospel of John this year, and would love your kids to join in. Questions? Contact Caroline Garrett. 

CGS Choir Rehearsals

CGS Choir Rehearsals

Choir rehearsals begin again on Wednesday September 10 at 7:00 p.m.  The choir meets every Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. In addition to singing periodically during Sunday morning worship services, the choir will be preparing for our combined Christmas service How Great Our Joy! This service combines the singing of all of our choirs (children and youth as well as adult) and will be Sunday evening December 14. Men’s Friday Morning Bible Study

Men of CGS, If we want to be more of who God wants us to be, we need each other. Experience intergenerational relationship and encouragement as we learn and apply God’s Word to our lives together. Come join us at 7:00am in the church Commons for coffee and Bible study with a group of men. Durham Rescue Mission Meal

    CGS is responsible for providing lunch at the Durham Rescue Mission men’s campus. We fed over 300 last month, so your continued help is greatly appreciated. If you would like to help with this month’s meal, please notify  Will Burkart or via phone at (919)732-5199. Dropping off dishes in the main kitchen the morning of the meal remains the same.
