*4-5th Graders Lunch and Devotion

Join other 4th + 5th graders for a meal together each second Sunday, followed by a game or two and a devotional with prayer time, led by Ray Toher and youth volunteers! 4th + 5th graders will meet in the Commons (by the big kitchen) to eat together (their table will be labeled), then end with the devotional and prayer in Room N309. *Community Garden Fence Building Day

Daniel Carter and team will be building the main part of the Community Garden fence on Sunday, April 13 in the afternoon! More details to come. Check out our Community Garden page to learn more about this project!

*Youth Group

*Middle School Boys Small Group

Join other middle school boys on Monday nights at CGS, beginning March 10 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on second, third, and fourth Mondays of the month. Questions? Contact Spencer Johnson.

*Boys Run Club

Boys Run Club is a community-run group open to boys in 2nd-5th grade in Chapel Hill, Durham, and surrounding areas. Practicesbegin on Tuesday, March 11, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Participants will meet in the parking lot at the Church of theGood Shepherd. Our goal is to help the students build endurance, improve personal fitness, and gain con-fidence by training for and running a race. *Women on Wednesdays Social

The next Women on Wednesdays Social will be an Open House on April 16, 5:30-7:30 p.m.  Gather together at Carla Hoffman’s home (4313 Klein Dr, Durham,  27705) and bring along a food or drink of your choosing to share.  There isn’t a need to RSVP, but you are welcome to email Women’s Ministry Director, Julie Burson, if you have any questions, julieburson@cgsonline.org.  Hope to see you there!

*CGS Adult Choir Rehearsal

Do you love to sing? The CGS Choir is looking for you! We’re getting ready for something special this spring—a concert featuring a wide variety of sacred music—from Psalm settings, to hymns, to other wonderful selections! We’d love to have you join us! Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the choir room, beginning January 29. For more information, contact Greg Wheatley.

*Men’s Friday Morning Bible Study

Men of CGS, If we want to be more of who God wants us to be, we need each other. Experience intergenerational relationship and encouragement as we learn and apply God’s Word to our lives together. Come join us at 7:00am in the church Commons for coffee and Bible study with a group of men. We use the ESV “Knowing the Bible Series” study by Dane Ortlund.  Contact Joseph Scanlon with any questions.

Friday, April 18 | CGS Sanctuary. Gather with us for our Good Friday service, as we worship Christ, meditating on his sacrificial death upon the cross for us.  If you cannot attend in person, we welcome you to access our Good Friday Livestream and bulletin.

*Souper Sunday Lunch

All are welcome to join us for lunch each week after Sunday’s worship service for a great bowl of soup down in our kitchen! Bring your family, your friends, or just yourself and enjoy some time getting to know others in this community.
