Widow’s Lunch

If you are a widow, we'd like to invite you to join our monthly informal lunch at Jason's Deli on the first Sunday of each month right after worship. We gather together to share our stories and to experience the hope we have in Christ. All widows are warmly invited. Calling all 6-12th graders! We’re back! Join us on Sunday’s from 6:30-8PM in the Youth Room for games, quality time learning about God and each other. Many students go to cookout after youth group, so if your student would like to join us, be sure they have money and a ride to and from cookout!

Women’s Wednesday Evening In-Person Bible Study this Fall!

Join us Wednesday nights in Room S202 at Church of the Good Shepherd to  study 1,2, and 3 John using the Jen Wilkin, "Abide", study. We will start Wednesday, September 25th 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm and meet weekly through December 4th. You can purchase the study here. Men of CGS, If we want to be more of who God wants us to be, we need each other. Experience intergenerational relationship and encouragement as we learn and apply God’s Word to our lives together. Come join us at 7:00am in the church Commons for coffee and Bible study with a group of men. Young Adult’s Game Night

Calling all board gamers! Saturday, November 9th, starting at 6:30 pm is our semi regular YAC board game night, hosted by our lovely Alice and Sean McCormick! This is a collaborative effort, so we need people to bring games! Whether it’s a big box that takes hours to play, a simple setup that’s quick to enjoy, or a classic deck of playing cards, bring your best! Contact: Isaac Lyons Isaac Lyons with any questions.

CGS Writer’s Workshop

For writers, authors, scribblers, poets, lyricists, actual and aspiring! Submit essays, short stories, and poetry to Josh Briscoe. We'll meet November 9 from 9:00am-12:00pm to discuss our drafts. Participants of the Writers' Workshop are pleased to announce that a magazine for your readerly enjoyment is in the works with a tentative release in fall 2025/winter 2026. Any work considered for publication must have first been discussed at a Workshop. More details will be available as we near the big day!
