Dr. David Chapman is a long-time Professor of New Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary and the author of numerous books and articles. He has been one of the primary teachers on the Biblical texts addressing the topic of men and women in church leadership for those preparing for ministry.

Dr. Tasha Chapman is Professor of Educational Ministries at Covenant Seminary. She has served in campus ministry and directed women’s ministries in churches both in the USA and England. She is the co-author of two books and contributed to the ESV Women’s Devotional Bible.

Weekend Agenda

Friday, March 15 |  6:30-8:30pm  |  Women’s Gathering

Join CGS women for our quarterly Wednesday Women’s Gathering–but this time on Friday–at the home of Anna Jones. Bring your own drinks or snacks to share with each other (Note: Anna will have the ACC semi-final tournament game available for those who are interested!) Please RSVP here so we can have a headcount!

Saturday, March 16  |  9am-12pm |  Women’s Conversation

We will have our first CGS Women’s Conversation in Room S212 at CGS with Dr. Tasha Chapman as guest facilitator. Our topic for discussion will be Self-Stewardship: Burning On, Not Burning Out. In order to glorify God with a life well-lived, we need a rhythm of rest,  restoration, and relationship. As the mother of two adult children, Tasha Chapman understands the challenges involved in caring for a family and household while also sustaining a career and participating in the church. She will facilitate a conversation together based on personal experience and extensive research focuses on sustaining resilience. Invite your friends for this insightful discussion!
Refreshments will be available beginning at 8:30am.

Flier for Women’s Weekend Events

Sunday, March 17  |  9:30am  |  Combined SMC

While this Men & Women in Church Leadership combined SMC pairs with the “Jesus, Justice, and Gender Roles” class happening during the current session of SMCs, it is presented to equip the entire church on this topic. Drs. David & Tasha Chapman will be co-leading this combined SMC.
