Calling all 6-12th graders! We’re back! Join us on Sunday’s from 6:30-8PM in the Youth Room for games, quality time learning about God and each other. Many students go to cookout after youth group, so if your student would like to join us, be sure they have money and a ride to and from cookout!

Youth Summer Kick-Off

All current 6th-12th grade students and their families are invited to our Summer Kick-Off Cookout at CGS. Come meet our summer interns, play games, and eat good food.

CGS Session Retreat

Church of the Good Shepherd

The Session will convene for a period of Word, Prayer, and discussion on Saturday, February 23. Incorporated into this time together will be a stated meeting, which will occur in lieu of the stated Session meeting previously scheduled for Monday, March 4. The principal focus of the discussions will be to review the progress of the Session ReOrg implementation that has been underway over the past 9 months.

One New Humanity: A New Global Purpose Joint SMC

At one point or another, most of us have asked, “Why?” We work hard, spend endless hours with our families, squeeze in church activities and even try to find some time for friends. But what is the purpose of it all? Richard Pratt (www.thirdmill.org) will facilitate a discussion of all this during the second installment in our “One New Humanity” seminar series. Join us for a combined SMC in the Chapel at 9:30am.

Location: Sanctuary You are invited to join us for an evening of music at Church of the Good Shepherd in preparation for the celebration of Christ's birth. Refreshments to be served following. Women’s Fellowship: Hope in a Plan

Location: S212 We will enjoy fellowship with one another and discuss our tendency to put "Hope in a Plan," and the call to anchor our hope back in Christ. Community Group Seminar with Brad House

Brad House (author of the book Community) will help us re-imagine what gospel-centered community looks like and provide practical training for growing healthy small groups. Brad is executive pastor at Sojourn Community Church in Louisville, KY and a friend of Mark Whipple.
