Angie Heinrich was born and spent her childhood just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. She became a Christian after being led to the Lord by her second grade Sunday School teacher at the Southern Baptist Church she attended with her parents and younger sister. Angie attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education with a concentration in Church Leadership. At Wheaton, she also met James Heinrich. They were married one week after graduating from Wheaton and moved promptly to Dallas, Texas for James to attend seminary. While in Texas, Angie worked at two private Christian schools. Six weeks after their first child was born, James and Angie moved to North Carolina and began attending The Church of the Good Shepherd. In 2004, Angie joined the staff of CGS as Nursery Coordinator. In 2014, Angie stepped away from that role to homeschool one of her children and serve on the pulpit committee of CGS. In 2017, Angie happily stepped back into the nursery of CGS. She greatly enjoys loving and serving the young families of CGS. James and Angie reside in Durham with their three children: Cody, Houston, and Belle.
