Jennifer Wheatley
Jennifer has fond memories of growing up in a musical family where most gatherings included singing and playing various instruments. Singing in church was a large part of her life and she knew early on that teaching children how to use their voices in worship was going to be a lifelong passion. Jennifer earned a B.A. in elementary education with a K-8 music certification. After moving to Wheaton, IL she joined the staff at College Church where she served as Ministry Associate for Music, overseeing and building a program with nearly 200 elementary students. A passion for hymn singing led her to develop a curriculum that encourages children to know and love hymns, and to understand the rich truths found in them. Jennifer also taught 1st -8th grade Performing Arts for 17 years at Greenhouse Christian Co-School. In 2021, Jennifer and her husband Greg moved to Durham.
