We have launched a new ministry called FAM at CGS. FAM stands for Family Advocacy Ministry. Our mission is to establish Care Communities (teams of 6-8 people) for families, particularly those who are fostering children, single parenting, or going through a health crisis.
Psalm 34:18 says that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We want to be God’s hands and feet in drawing close to families who may find themselves in a time of stress. A Care Community does this by providing a meal once a week, by regularly praying for the family, and by walking alongside them as they are able.
