Women’s Wednesday Evening In-Person Bible Study this Fall!

Church of the Good Shepherd

Join us Wednesday nights in Room S202 at Church of the Good Shepherd to  study 1,2, and 3 John using the Jen Wilkin, "Abide", study. We will start Wednesday, September 25th 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm and meet weekly through December 4th. You can purchase the study here. Men of CGS, If we want to be more of who God wants us to be, we need each other. Experience intergenerational relationship and encouragement as we learn and apply God’s Word to our lives together. Come join us at 7:00am in the church Commons for coffee and Bible study with a group of men. We use the ESV “Knowing the Bible Series” study by Dane Ortlund.  Contact Joseph Scanlon with any questions.

SMC: Listening to the Lord’s Voice in Scripture

During session two of the fall SMC classes, Robin Kiefer and Tricia Toher will lead a workshop using four frameworks for Spiritual reflection: Lectio Davina, Faith based Memorization; Biblical Mediation, and Removing Barriers to Belief. This group will be limited to 12 participants. You must register for it by emailing reception@cgsonline.org.

Service Opportunity at Durham Rescue Mission

Good Samaritan Inn 507 E Knox St, Durham, NC, United States

CGS will be hosting a BBQ for the women and children at the Good Samaritan Inn (507 E Knox St, Durham, NC 27701) from 4:30-6:30 pm.  Women will spend time in fellowship with one another while men are cooking and serving the food.  Men will also facilitate games for the children.  There is a sign up link available for women, who are encouraged to bring their children (ages 6-13).  Please contact Bryan Lineberry and Mark Hlad with questions.
