Women’s Fellowship Event

September 28, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Location: S212

Join us for the first installment in our “Drawn to More: Finding God in the Wilderness” Series.  Our speaker will be Vaneetha Rendall Risner, author of the book Scars That Have Shaped Me: How God Meets Us in Suffering. All women are invited to enjoy brunch as we go deeper together in fellowship and knowledge of the Lord. See below for more about Vaneetha:

Vaneetha Rendall Risner is a writer, speaker and follower of Jesus who is passionate about helping people find joy in suffering. Vaneetha’s own journey includes having polio as a child, losing an infant son unexpectedly, being diagnosed with post-polio syndrome and going through an unwanted divorce. Through all of these things, Vaneetha has learned that God is often most near in the wilderness, when there is nothing else to depend on but him.

Vaneetha and her family live and Raleigh, North Carolina where she loves laughing, having coffee with friends and deep conversations. She writes regularly for Desiring God and is the author of the book, Scars That Have Shaped Me: How God Meets Us in Suffering.
