Special Communion Service March 10

We are having a special midweek Communion service from 7:00-7:30pm on Wednesday, March 10. This is for people who did not get a chance to come this past Sunday, or who are not comfortable taking Communion in groups larger than 50. Capacity is limited to 50 people, and sign-ups are required. Sign up here for the March 10 Communion Service.

Communion Details

CGS has resumed our regular schedule of taking Communion during the in-person service the first Sunday of every month. Here are the details of how Communion elements will be distributed with respect to COVID precautions:

1) Individual, pre-packaged, sealed packets — each containing cup and bread — will be arranged (by gloved volunteers) on tables in the narthex located by each of the two sanctuary entry points.  Congregants will pick up their own packet, and take it to their pew.
2) Congregational communion will be led by the presiding pastor, during the course of the service. When taking the elements, please lift your mask up slightly from the bottom, and raise it back into covered position as soon as you are finished.
3) Participants will be asked to carry their used packets out with them at the conclusion of the worship service, and deposit them in waste bins provided in the narthex.
