College

College Students: CGS welcomes you to university life in Durham-Chapel Hill ! Your student years here will be formative and challenging, in part because “almost every student entering the university believes, or says he believes, that truth is relative…” (Alan Bloom, The Closing of the American Mind).

Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am… Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” (John 18:37-8)

How will you answer Pilate over the course of your unfolding life ? … We want to invite you into community with us to explore critically the competing truth claims of our post-modern, post-Christian culture.

Sunday Morning Classes

Our Sunday Morning Classes convene at 9:30, and provide a broad spectrum of teaching and discussion.

Campus Connections

We at CGS have strong, active connections with a broad variety of thoughtful Christian communities at local universities. We can assist you in finding sustaining relational environments on your campus to integrate with your weekend worship experiences at CGS. We have particularly close relationships with the RUF ministries (Reformed University Fellowship) at North Carolina Central University, the University of North Carolina, and Duke University. We would love to make it easy for you to become quickly and personally connected with those campus pastors.

Community

Finally, we have a broad cross-section of professionals within our active membership – spanning differing decades and life stages. Our church family can provide mentoring, counsel, and cross-generational wisdom during your college years. Come avail yourself of the richness of community that exists within CGS!
