SMC Coffee Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed one (1) Sunday morning per quarter to oversee coffee prep and clean-up. This is a great way for community groups, couples, families, or roommates to serve the church. Contact Stephen Windham at sawindham@gmail.com or (919) 225-8104 to coordinate an upcoming Sunday in September, October, or November that works well for your schedule.
Souper Sunday Lunch
All are welcome to join us for lunch each week after Sunday’s worship service for a great bowl of soup down in our kitchen! Bring your family, your friends, or just yourself and enjoy some time getting to know others in this community. Families planning to come usually contribute a soup or side to share, but feel free to just come and join even if you have nothing to bring! We’d love to see you there. Contact: Mark Whipple

We hope you will join us to study the book of Acts using Nancy Guthrie’s study guide entitled Saved: Experiencing the Promise of the Book of Acts. Weekly Prayer Meeting

4th+5th Grade Crew
4th+5th Crew meets Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 p.m. for fun games, time in God's word, and sweet fellowship together! We'll be working through the Gospel of John this year, and would love your kids to join in. Questions? Contact Caroline Garrett.
CGS Choir Rehearsals
Choir rehearsals begin again on Wednesday September 10 at 7:00 p.m. The choir meets every Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. In addition to singing periodically during Sunday morning worship services, the choir will be preparing for our combined Christmas service How Great Our Joy! This service combines the singing of all of our choirs (children and youth as well as adult) and will be Sunday evening December 14. No auditions required! If you love to sing, get in touch with us! Men of CGS, If we want to be more of who God wants us to be, we need each other. Experience intergenerational relationship and encouragement as we learn and apply God’s Word to our lives together. Come join us at 7:00am in the church Commons for coffee and Bible study with a group of men. We use the ESV “Knowing the Bible Series” study by Dane Ortlund.

Garden Work Day
Our community garden is beginning to flourish and needs steady tending. Join us for workdays through October (unless otherwise noted) to bless our church and community! October 18, 8:30-11:30 a.m.: Churn the Berm! Come help till the berm to prepare the soil for wildflower seeds. We will also be building a compost system on this day.
