Forest View Elementary

  • One small group went to Elmo’s Diner to help raise money for Forest View Elementary and they have another meeting scheduled with their teacher. Another group has set up monthly meetings in the evenings to help their teacher, and quarterly they will compile poetry booklets. One group helped their teacher in her science lab assembling new lab tables, sharpening pencils, gluing little felt dots on the bottoms of stools, and other odd jobs. They also helped with the Landscaping Day that was a school-wide event with parent volunteers. We pulled weeds in the courtyard and did some planting in the front of the school.

  • The entire young adult community partnered with the youth to host a churchwide free babysitting event. We babysat over 60 children, and the parents we helped were incredibly grateful for this service.
