January was a slower month for the Adopt-A-Teacher Program. Most groups, however, were able to set up meeting times at the beginning of February. One group went into the classroom to help their teacher with tasks such as organizing and filing papers, cutting laminated cards, and sharpening pencils. Another small group helped elementary school teachers prepare to start their day by completing administrative tasks and working with students on assignments. One teacher we worked with was very thankful and told us we really helped her get a lot of work done.
